FORT MORGAN
ALL-INCLUSIVE CEREMONIES
Fort Morgan beach weddings
Nestled at the western tip of Baldwin County, Fort Morgan sits where Mobile Bay meets the Gulf of Mexico — a stretch of coast that feels completely removed from the crowds of nearby Gulf Shores. The beaches here are wide, quiet, and lined with sea oats, and the sunsets are among the most dramatic on the Alabama Gulf Coast.
We've been planning beach ceremonies in Fort Morgan since 2014. We handle every detail — permit, setup, florals, photography, officiant, and music — so you can focus entirely on each other on your wedding day.
Whether you're eloping with just two witnesses or celebrating with family and close friends, Fort Morgan's natural setting creates a ceremony backdrop that no venue can replicate.

A REAL FORT MORGAN WEDDING
Nick & Grace — a sunset ceremony
"Their wedding colors — peach, coral, and dusty blue — blended beautifully with the soft spring sky and Gulf waters."
Nick and Grace chose Fort Morgan for its seclusion and its light. They wanted a ceremony that felt intimate and unhurried, with nothing between them and the horizon. The spring sky cooperated perfectly — soft pastels at golden hour that matched their color palette exactly.
Their ceremony took about 20 minutes. They spent the rest of the evening watching the sun drop into Mobile Bay with their closest family around them. That's what Fort Morgan does for a wedding — it makes the whole day feel effortless.

Planning your Fort Morgan ceremony
Here's everything you need to know about getting married on Fort Morgan Beach — permits, parking, beach rules, and what to expect on your day.
Permits & fees
No beach wedding permit is required for Fort Morgan Public Beach — one less thing to worry about
If you're renting a beach house, confirm with your rental host that the property allows wedding ceremonies before booking
What to expect
Fort Morgan Public Beach has more natural terrain than Gulf Shores — some areas have permanent shade structures already on the beach
Multiple ceremonies may occur on nearby beach areas simultaneously
The parking lot is small, so we recommend carpooling or arriving early to secure a spot
There are no public restrooms at the beach access — plan accordingly or use facilities before arriving
Beach rules
No alcohol or glass containers on the beach
No open flames or candles
No balloons, glitter, confetti, or sky lanterns
No setup directly adjacent to boardwalks — required for emergency access
Best time to get married
April–early June: warm, uncrowded, and ideal photography light
September–October: much less crowded, cooler temperatures, and dramatic skies at sunset
Summer (July–August): busy during the day but noticeably less crowded and cooler at sunset — a great time for an evening ceremony
Winter (Nov–Feb): mild, very uncrowded, and perfect for intimate elopements
Accessibility note: The walk from the boardwalk to our ceremony setup area crosses soft sand, which can be difficult for guests with limited mobility or elderly family members. We strongly recommend arranging a beach wheelchair rental in advance if needed. Two great options: Lazy Days Beach Rentals and Beach Power Rentals.
Where to stay nearby
Fort Morgan is primarily a beach house rental community — many couples choose to rent a house for the week and have us set up the ceremony right on their beach access. For hotel options, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are a short drive away.
GULF SHORES — About 30 + MIN
A beautiful Hilton property set within Gulf State Park, just minutes from the beach. Popular with wedding guests.
ORANGE BEACH — About 35 + MIN
Hilton Garden Inn Orange Beach
Convenient and comfortable, close to dining and the ceremony site. Great for guests traveling from out of town.

Yes. If you're renting a beach house in Fort Morgan, we can set up your ceremony directly on the beach in front of your rental property. April through early June and September through October are ideal. Temperatures are warm (75–85°F), humidity is lower than peak summer, crowds are smaller, and the golden-hour light for photography is exceptional.

We recommend booking 4 to 6 months in advance for spring and fall dates. Summer weekends fill quickly. That said, we do accommodate last-minute ceremonies when availability allows — it's always worth calling even if your date is soon.

The walk from the boardwalk to the ceremony setup area crosses soft sand, which can be challenging for guests with limited mobility. We strongly recommend arranging a beach wheelchair rental in advance. Two great local options are Lazy Days Beach Rentals and Beach Power Rentals. Please note we cannot set up directly next to the boardwalk, as this is required to keep pedestrian pathways clear and allow emergency vehicle access.

If you have a backup location in mind, just let us know! We reserve the right to refuse to perform at any location if weather conditions could be unsafe for you, your guests, and our team.
If there is a storm, we can reschedule for the next day or another date that works for everyone. If it rains, we will wait up to one hour for it to stop — and if it doesn't, we can move the wedding to the next day. For light rain, the show goes on — just bring umbrellas! Sometimes we may also adjust your ceremony time to work around the weather, so a little flexibility goes a long way.
We highly recommend looking into Event Weather Insurance through a provider of your choice. It can be a lifesaver for unexpected storms, hurricanes, or anything else life throws your way!
