The park features 6,000 feet of natural scenic shoreline, designated beach areas and pavilions, and restroom facilities. We recommend visiting the location the day before your ceremony to get familiar with the setup area and parking.
Ceremony fee & parking
Henderson Beach State Park uses a tiered ceremony fee based on the total number of guests and vendors combined. The fee covers the state park entrance, parking for all guests, the beach ceremony permit, map event cards, and a reserved area on the beach with private event signage.

Your Dream Beach Wedding handles the permit application on your behalf — there is nothing for you to arrange separately. The ceremony fee is paid in addition to your wedding package price.
Park rules & restrictions
Henderson Beach State Park has guidelines in place to protect its natural environment. Please keep the following in mind when planning your ceremony:
Decorations should be minimal to preserve the park's natural setting
Alcohol consumption may require an additional permit — confirm with the park in advance
Amplified sound (music, microphones) should be confirmed with the park before your ceremony
The park has restroom facilities but no private changing rooms — plan to get ready at your hotel or rental property
Sunset ceremonies are particularly popular and book quickly — reserve your date as early as possible
Accessibility & mobility planning
The walk from the parking area to our setup area crosses soft sand, which can be challenging for guests with limited mobility or elderly family members. We strongly recommend arranging a beach wheelchair rental in advance if needed.
Please also note that we are not permitted to set up directly next to the boardwalk. This rule exists to keep pedestrian pathways clear and to allow access for emergency vehicles.

The Gulf Coast is beautiful year-round, but the sweet spots are April through early June and September through October. These months offer warm temperatures (75–85°F), lower humidity than peak summer, and golden-hour light that photographs beautifully. Sunset ceremonies at Henderson Beach are especially popular during these months and book quickly. Summer (July–August) is peak season — busier and hotter, with hurricane season risk. Winter (November–February) is quiet and ideal for an intimate elopement.

Destin is our most in-demand location. For spring and fall dates, we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance. Summer sunset weekends can book up a year out. That said, we do accommodate last-minute weddings when availability allows — always worth reaching out even if your date is soon.
