Wedding reception-order of service

Wedding receptions tend to follow a similar pattern, including a number of wedding rituals and traditions.

1.  The guests are served drinks and appetizers, as they gather at the reception. 

2.  The bridal party enter the reception and are announced to the guests. The bride and groom should be the last seated. 

3.  Food is served.

4.  Cake cutting

5.  Toast.

6.  Traditional dances

7.  Bouquet toss

8.  Garter toss.
